My strong belief in "Nothing is Impossible" and the curiosity to explore made me develop interest in arts, music, adventure, and sports. Creativity is to view things in a different perspective. Learning new things requires tolerance, thinking differently, flexibility and the ability to create new possibilities.

You can always learn many things from nature.   Looking at the sky can calm your mind! Standing near the ocean and watching the waves hitting you can bring untold joy. Watching the sun rise and set can give you a different philosophy to life. There is a beauty in nature and you can capture this beauty either on paper by hand or by using a modern tool called the camera. This is how I started my stint in photography. I specialize in "fine arts", "nature" and "interior" photography. Please click on my photography movie!

Photography is an "Art". Unless you know the "art" of photography, no camera can help you capture the beauty of nature. The camera is just a tool, the person behind the camera is who really matters for good photography. My initial training was under Mr. Helmoth Koz, a German photographer. After learning the basics, I spent one year learning advanced photography under Shri. Gautam Basak.

Sports teaches you many things. No matter what sports you play, there is always an opportunity to show leadership and help out your fellow team mates. Successful leaders always have one trait in common - teamwork. Learning to work as part of a larger team is a skill that takes you a long way in your career as well as in your personal life. Playing sports in the right spirit can be an opportunity for relieving stress of your daily life and rejuvenates your brain to think differently. Hence, I dedicate some time in going to the gymnasium every day, playing golf once a month, cycling and playing tennis with my daughters. My daughters like Novak Djokovic and I like his slogan on his web site – “The greater the challenge, the more glory in overcoming it”. Whenever I am in America, I fly an airplane. Once again sports have lots of benefits when transferred to your everyday life.

The highest form in music is spirituality. The most profound spirituality is peace and silence. Music helps us in elevating our body, mind and soul. The great composer Beethoven said of music - "Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life. Although the spirit be not master of that which it creates through music, yet it is blessed in this creation, which, like every creation of art, is mightier than the artist."

My influence to music is through my mother - she used to sing at home in the evenings. I have learnt violin for more than 5 years and I am still learning. Initially I started under Basavanagudi Nataraj and then under Raga Tarangini Suresh Bellary. I had an opportunity to listen to the great musicians of Indian classical music many times in Bangalore and USA – M S Subbalakshmi, Yesudas, Padit Ravi Shankar, L Subramaniam, Mandolin U Srinivas, Dr. M Balamurali Krishna, Pandit Bhimasen Joshi, Hariprasad Chourasia, Zakir Hussan and others. My all time favourites kirthanas are - “ramanee samana reverura”, “Maha ganapathim manasa smarami”, “Vara leela gaana lola”, “manava janmadoddadu”.

There are two kinds of knowledge. One is bookish knowledge – gained by reading books, sitting in one place. The other, is gained by traveling to different places and observing people and cultures. Traveling satisfies all requisites of a good hobby - it is both education and refreshment to the mind, body and soul. I have traveled extensively all over India and the world and imbibed .a lot of good, which has enriched my life to a very great extent.

"I roamed the countryside searching for the answers to things I did not understand. Why shells existed on the tops of mountains along with the imprints of coral and plant and seaweed usually found in the sea. Why the thunder lasts a longer time than that which causes it and why immediately on its creation the lightning becomes visible to the eye while thunder requires time to travel. How the various circles of water form around the spot which has been struck by a stone and why a bird sustains itself in the air. These questions and other strange phenomena engaged my thought throughout my life." - Leonardo da Vinci
